What to Expect at a Dissertation Writing Boot Camp
Cultivate the Writer Dissertation Boot Camps generally combine individualized dissertation and writing coaching with instructional writing sessions. Participants dedicate a certain number of hours per day to working on their dissertations and apply the strategies provided in a distraction-free environment. They receive clear guidance from PhD holders and helpful accountability within a community of scholars working towards the same goals.
The goal of each booth camp is to equip participants to overcome common dissertation hurdles in a supportive, structured environment as well as gain important skills needed to maintain momentum beyond the boot camp.

How Dissertation Boot Camps Work
Boot Camp Investment
Organizations that host dissertation boot camps can offer them in fully in-person, fully online or hybrid formats. They can range from all-day intensives to smaller chunks of bi-weekly sessions. Though boot camps are designed for doctoral candidates, they can incorporate the dissertation proposal to help scholars transition from a proposal to the dissertation.
Participation is limited to 25 participants to provide impact personalized support. We can customize topics, boot camp length, number of sessions and services. Also, we have a recommended book for graduate students that can be incorporated into the boot camp.
Dissertation/thesis boot camps, retreats and intensives range in fees from $4,500 - $7,500 per day, depending on the format and length for each day.

Writing Intensive & Academic Productivity Retreats
For intense multi-day sessions not focused on dissertations, intensives for graduate students are offered and can be tailored to the needs and goals of participants or the sponsoring organization. Often, these intensives are writing components of doctoral acclimation or professional development programs for first generation students, international scholars and fellowship recipients.
For faculty members, we host academic productivity retreats at the beginning and the end of the summer. The retreats at the beginning of the summer are designed for faculty who want to maintain scholarly work momentum during the summer months or complete a writing project. The retreats at the end of the summer are for faculty who want to get organized and prepare for a productive new academic year.
