Cultivate the Writer (CTW) is the academic arm of Chrysalis Consulting LLC, a professional training and learning development company. Cultivate the Writer is designed to help higher education professionals embrace the writer, scholar and leader within. Too many aspiring and experienced scholars think that they have to like writing and speaking or do them naturally to communicate well. However, writing and speaking are skills that anyone can master. In fact, those in academia must learn to write and present well to share the important research they conduct with their colleagues, fields, industry and the world. 

Our mission at Cultivate the Writer is to provide the strategies, resources and information needed for those in higher education to write and present well to meet their educational and professional goals. We are especially committed to providing a safe place for graduate students and early career faculty across degree type (PhD, EdD, DBA, DNP, etc.) and programs to grow and gain the academic skills they need to be successful.

Founded in 2011 in Tampa, Florida, we have had the pleasure of supporting students and faculty members across the country at various types of universities and across all disciplines. Our clients have become "unstuck" and completed their dissertations/theses, published articles and book projects, presented their research at major conferences, secured grants and been offered academic jobs.
